Bought a 2006 Road King about 4 weeks ago. I was having trouble getting flat footed at a stop. I switched the seat to a "Reach" seat. It helped but I still had issues. After reading a post on here, I bought a pair of logger boots with a higher heel. I still was not completely flat footed. Today I picked up my bike after having 12" Progressive 412 shocks installed. Finally, I was totally flat footed. I know this seems like a lot of trouble to go to but the Road King was the bike I always wanted (I'm 57 years old) so I decided to do what I had to to make it fit. Now if I can just find a handlebar that doesn't kill my back and shoulder.
Mean City is one of the options I am thinking of, but with only having a Badlander at this time I need to wait for the stock seat I have in the mail to arrive. If the stock seat doesn't do it for me than it will be sent off to be modified.
I might still have the bike lowered just to have a bit more room on the ground for uneven sections of the road or whatever.
