Sure doesn't look like something that I would trust. I have an 8 x 14 open trailer that I have towed my softtail on, but I have vowed never to tow the glide. I also use a Condor stand to help secure the bike, provides extra stabilbity and easy loading. Good luck with whatever you choose.
No way; I wouldn't put my bike and no ones else that I would consider a friend. If you can't strap it I wouldnt use it. I have an enclosed trailer for my 05 Ultra and wouldn't consider anything less.
Just so I can clear this up...............................I'm the first one to complain to ANYONE for trailering their bike anywhere. They are made to be ridden, not towed.
I am referring to a tow device in case someone broke down. I don't have access to a trailer, let alone have any place to store one within easy reach. That's why I was looking at the bumper type towing device that I could keep in my truck for emergency purposes.
I live by a saying.........If you see my bike on a trailer, CALL 911.[sm=smiley20.gif]
R U Crazy? Not on your life. There is a ton of trucking companies that will ship your ride anywhere cheap. Back of a pickup, trailer, get some one else to ride if you can't. There is a ton of better options.
Would anyone trust towing your bike with this type of tow device? I'm looking for a winter project to aid in break downs. This would be easier than a trailer.
I think you should be asking if it's ok to tow a Harley with the back wheel on the ground. I think NOT. It seems to me I read somewhere that the transmission only gets oiled when the engine is running, and the moco says NO to towing. I could be wrong.
