Just so I can clear this up...............................I'm the first one to complain to ANYONE for trailering their bike anywhere. They are made to be ridden, not towed.
I am referring to a tow device in case someone broke down. I don't have access to a trailer, let alone have any place to store one within easy reach. That's why I was looking at the bumper type towing device that I could keep in my truck for emergency purposes.
I live by a saying.........If you see my bike on a trailer, CALL 911.[sm=smiley20.gif]
Get some sort of roadside assistance insurance. HOG members can get it for $20 a year. Most insurance companies offer it also. I've had it forever. Never had to use it (knock wood), but peace of mind is well worth the $20 a year.
Check it out here: HOG Roadside Assistance
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. In reading the info on the HOG site, it appears that all full members are now covered by the standard package. My membership is up for renewal soon, so I guess I'll find out then. Last year I paid $19.95 in addition to my annual HOG membership fee. Anyone else have any experience with this ?
Myunderstaning is that all full members get one free tow every year..if I use that one, I will opt for the other package..might've changed tho'
I don't pay much attention to HOG...too busy riding.
