Default smart siren

I have the smart security system with siren. I have the TM and every once in a while when I raise the bike off the jiffy stand with the fob in my pocket. The siren will give one long whistle. Has anyone else had this problem?

Check the antenna under the right side cover. if it's tied down too close to the bike that's what happens. It likes to be loose and floppy

I thought it was just saying "hello" and recognizing me. I don't mind it at all, what I hate is when I mess with the bike and I only thought I had the fob in my pocket. Now my neighbors are looking out of their little windows at me.

Default RE: smart siren and a new question...

Mine does it too, but very rarely.

QUESTION:

My remote unit is supposed to blink on the right side if it is on, and on both right/left (on the remote unit) when it is in communication with the unit on the bike.

Sometimes, nothing blinks. Ihave to push the button on the remote to 're-start" it. Any clues?????

Battery OK?

Out of range?

Antenna in a good place?

Deffective unit?

Know anyone with the same unit, park them side by side and compare distances away from bikes.

On mine the instructions say it will stop blinking after a certian period of time to save the battery life. I'm working so I can't check the book.( It's still on just not flashing.)
