Default portable air pump?

Which pump do you take on trips with you? I purchased one but it was a POS. Any suggestions.

I have a cheapo that comes with a bottle of slime (a sealant that is green that you leave in your tire) at Kragen Auto parts, I hear they have them at wally world, not sure though, I don't shop there...for about 20.00

I have a small CH compressor that has clips that attach to the battery,. I have never tried to pump up a tire but it is dandy for pumping up an air mattress. Be prepared to have all your neighbors at the camp site ask to borrow it. I got it at Wally World, forget how much but it was cheap and measures about 6" x 6".AL

Found a Coleman 12v with lighter plug at a Dollar General for $9...works great and is compact enough to not have to strip down the pump itself.

I bought the small Slime compressor. Tested it on an empty tire.
Took 7 minutes. Not bad.

I bought the Slime Powersports compressor (part # 40001) from Advanced Auto Parts for $28.

The thing rocks..It'sabout the size of your hand andcomes in a small carrying case (6"x6")with connections for a cig lighter, battery clamps, and a direct wire set-up.

The wire that came with it just happened to plug directly into my factoryaccessory plug that came onmy bike when I bought it. Pretty convienent.

I also bought a tire plug kit from Advance Auto that came with a carrying case.

The H/D air shock pump - it will take forever, but if I get a flat (extremely rare) then I will have enough work plugging it, so the lengthy pumping workout is just part of the PITA of having a flat.
The good thing is -
1. I had a plug kit
2. The hole was actually repairable
3. I can also use it for my shocks
4. Most important. I did not crash

So for me, I carry the overpriced H/D shock air pump. I have numerous lightweight bike pumps laying about, nevertheless, I would rather use this slo-pumper and have it available to adjust the pressure in my shock.

I would be extremely leary of the hi-tech options listed above as with CO2 you only get one chance to make it work, and with the electric stuff, you have to hope it will work and it cannot be easily fixed if it won't.

Last resort: AAA plus with RV/Cycle towing ...
