I would tell you that I wouldn't spend that kind of money on something I couldn't touch and feel.........are you close? Can you look the bike over?

I had was just giving that bike as an example. I am starting to research the electra glides and similar models and I am curious if there is any well known issues to look for...

Once ya have that all sorted out, ah'd put out a "Hey, Rube" call here if ya spot sumthin' of interest. Ah'm bettin' most of us would be happy ta go check it out fer ya. Ain't nuthin' better'n an independent set of eyes on sumthin'!

Since they didn't post the mileage, I'm bettin' 60-80+... clear title? (no salvage)... gotta have someone look/ride it. Looks good on the outside.

They list the mileage - around 21k, clear title they say.

Check out the same things that you would check on your own bike, then check the service records is you can to see if it was maintained... Have a dealer pull up the service bulletins and see if they have any issues with the year bagger you are looking at.... Bring another set of eyes with you because you will be blinded to the little things because your looking toget a bagger ...

This can be the best time of year to buy. Scored my '05 EG Standard last Fall from a dealer, too! 4,800 mileson it; got it for $12,250 plus a free helmet! Bring a friend shopping who owns a dresser and knows what to look for...
