I changed my tires at a little over 17,000 miles. The rear was ready, the front probably had a some milage left. I changed both. You should get at least 15,000 on the rear and 20,000 on the front.

There was just a thread about this..it looks like anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 depending on riding style.

I've got 10,000 on a rear now, and it is good for a couple more. I should get 20,000 out of the front.

I change my back tire every 8k to 10k and my front every other time. Play it safe with tires!
