Weight difference will be a getting used to. The EG will handle alot better for you. Very easy ride, comfortable. Just be careful about leaning over to fall, first on corners, you won't be able lay it over as much, due to floor boards, second, the bike is much heavier and if it goes over past about 30degrees, you will have a harder time getting it back level,if your that lucky. If it goes over, let it go, it's not worth getting hurt, that's what the crash bars are for.
Just take your time getting ot know your bike and you'll love it.

My last bike was a Suzuki Intruder 800. Big difference from my Ultra. But give it about a week or so and you'll have the handling down good.

Piece of cake, well balanced, I don't think you'll have a problem. The only time they are heavy is when getting them of the kickstand, and a little heavier when full tank, but nothing to fret about.

About the only adjustment you'll have to make is in the approach you take when you drop her. Sportsters are easy to pic up, and glides are like whales.

Most dealers will allow you demo ride for an hour or so, good way to try several bikes before you decide.

I've had mine for about 4 months now. Handling the ride at speed was not a problem. Parking lot manuvering took a bit over 2 months to get proficient with. Stoping at lights in traffic is just now getting to be routine and stopping with two up still needs practice.

My $0.02 is practice in a deserted parking lot every chance you get. Do a complete stop at every stop sign and/or stop light you come to. Practice, practice and take the MRF beginin rider's course.

The Electra Glide is a much better handling bike as long as you are moving. It is much heavier so move slow and focus on keeping a good footing. If it does go over let it and get out of the way. Trippers comment is a good one.........take some time for slow manuvering practice and slow turns.......it will make a big difference in how you can handle it at slow speeds. You have the Mac Daddy
of bikes so enjoy the great ride and long range....it is a joy to ride and I am sure you will have a great time with it.....ride safe and assume you are invisible to the cagers.
