Looking for the easiest upgrade you'll ever do? And their only about $20 bucks AntennaX.com sells really nice SHORT antennas to replace the stock long whip antennas. The radio reception is as good as before. Can't say anything about the CB, haven't used it. I think it improves the looks and I'm not hitting my head on the damn things anymore. Thanks to my friend Dave who has them on his Ultra. Other then that, my bike is still stock, but Jamie @ FuelMoto will be setting me up shortly. Pictures "should" be here if I did them right.
I had a shorty from Antennax.com on my Street Glide for a while. Worked very well. I decided to go in the fairing to clean up the back of the bike now that I have the rear docking hardware on for the detachable tour pack.
I put a set on my ultra a while back, and love 'em. The CB works fine too. Rode with a group a while back, and got no complaints. There was a warning from the local radio nut about burning out the finals on the CB, but it's not like your on the mike all the time.
Do yourself a favor, put a drop of locktite on the threads. I caught mine with less than a turn leftbefore I was going to buy another set. A drop of goo, and they are thereto stay...
Now i would like to find helmet speakers with dcent sound..
I have them on mine, and they work great. The CB, according to a group of "wingers" I was with the other day, works well too. The only problem I had was that they loosened up after a few days. Nothinga drop of locktite wouldn't fix....
Can you help me with another clue? I looked at the site and saw many. Which do you have, and is it $20 for both?
Thanks
The only problem I have is the stock ones bang on the garage door when it opens and closes.
