I use a jacket linerpurchased at HD.. It is made by Gerbing. If you buy it fromGerbingyou'll save about 20.00. I also have the gloves by Gerbing. The jacket is by far the best investment I have made for riding in a while. I don't where my leather jacket anymore. I use a light jacket and my jacket liner. When it warms up I either turn it of or remove it. No more have to bulk up to ride. I started out with just a heated vest but found the jacket was better. Jackets run about 185.00 -200. The best!!! They come with the battery hook ups as well.
Wife and I got the Gerbings heated jackets and G3 gloves about 2 months ago. We went for a ride the other morning , 38 degrees and wife had on a knit sweater and her heated jacket. Never complained about getting cold. I,m just upset I didn,t buy them last year. Just make sure you get the fit right . and You wont be disappointed Dan Ps. she did have on her lowers also. ha ha ha ha
I have used the Gerbings heated liner and gloves for years with great results. Have ridden in comfort down to about 10 degrees. I wire it directly back to the battery using the controller that Gerbings sells. From what I have heard from others, Warm N Safe makes a similar product that is cheaper and packs better.I like the collars better, a soft material that is not as cold as the Gerbings can be.
I have one of their jackets with the Heat-Troller control and wearing a denim shirt under my leather and this jacket at 35 deg I had to keep turning it down. This thing will cook you. and the customer service and communication is Fantastic.
I also have the gerbing socks and although they will keep your feet from freezing they don't get real HOT. I just run an on-off switch and leave them on.
