Side-noting -- Got a set of B&E Superflow slip-ons not long ago. Happy as I could possibly be with them. $150 and they have nice, deep authoritative tone *and* a decent "bark" without being obnoxious at all. Best $150 I ever spent.
On top of that, they're modified HD take-offs. If you ever wind up with Leo taking a look at your pipes to see if they're stock, they're factory-stamped underneath.

Well if you remove the baffel that's in there (take your time and use a thin lube\oil it will come out without damage to the muffler) and measure it... You can always find a replacement baffle to make it softer or louder depending on the baffle size ordered

Before you replace them try removing and wrapping with either fiberglass or stainless steel wool. That will also tone them down and mellow out the bark. Might be enough for ya.
