When I did the cruise install this part drove me nuts. Just have to go slow and read manuel carefully. I got frutrated and inpatent ad almost twisted ignition off. Others will say its easy

turn the ignition all the way to the left, place key in the ignition and turn to the left. There is a little detent button on the under side of the actual switch. Push up on the button and turn the key to the left and it will pull off.
