2008 Road Glide seat
Hey Roadies, How comfortable is the seat on the 08 Road glides? I'm thinking of gettin' one to put on a 08 ultra and am looking for some feedback before I plunk down the plastic. The one on the 08 ultra wasn't bad till I had it trimmed down, now I set lower but get lower back and hip pain. I feel like I'm settin' in to much of a bucket. Its only good for about 50- 60 miles before I'm ready to get off it. Doc says it's a nerve thing. Thanks

Never really paid any attention to my RG's'08's seat , didn't give comfort a single thought....I'm thinking that means it was really comfortable
Only about 1,300 on the new RG,but 462 of 'em were all on a Saturday and the seat felt great all day long.

I have 5500 miles on my 08 Anniversary RG with many 8 hour days. Mine works well, never have had a numb butt. It get's after break in.
If you have an anniversary Ultra I might be willing to trade.

I ordered one for my '08 Ultra. I have sat on one and found it more comfortable for me (it seems to sit me lower and further back) but not as comfortable for the passenger. I will use the Road Glide seat for my solo riding and the Ultra seat for two up. My girlfriend is taking the MSF course this weekend so I may be having less passenger miles in the future as she will be probably be riding one of my other bikes.

Effective May 25, 2008 at 11 AM, I made my first HD bike purchase at Simi Valley HD Dealer (that I highly recommend and ask for Andy and Craig). I bought a 2008 Vivid Black Road Glide with ABS, security, cruise, and cast wheels. I love it!!! Have a safe ride...

I did not care for the 08 RG seat.It just seamed a little stiff andunforgiving where it stepped up to the passenger area.I felt the older style seat was far mor comfortable. I installed a mustang, all good.

I just did 400 miles this last Memorial day weekend with no problems. I suspect it will further break in to be more comfortable. '08 RG by the way just picked it up Saturday

For what its worth... My father in law just sold his 01 FLHT. He and his ol'lady were always happy with the stock seat on their electraglide and never bothered to replace it. They sold that bike, because he bought a 08 ROADGLIDE, and they both hate the stock seat and have already ordered a Mustang to replace it after taking my 05 roadglide fit with a mustang seat out for a nice ride.

Did not find mine very comforable, just installed the Sundowner and It is much better IMO, better butt cup, sits me alittle lower. Had a Mustang on my other bike, good seat but very flat,,,,I prefer the dished out or curved look and feel of the Sundowner.
