I just received a set of passenger footboards I bought on Ebay. I see where they go. My question is when I remove the bolt that is presently there do I reuse that bolt again or is there a torx head or allen head bolt that is supposed to be used with these? To begin with I'm having a real problem even geting the bolts loose (they have a solid headso you have to use a cresent wrench or socket and they areon real tight). If I use th same bolt it looks like getting them back on, especially on the left side, is going to be hard, With the exhaust there, there is barely room for a wrench or socket. That's why I was thinking this would be a good place for a torx driver or allen wrench. Can anyone tell me what kind and size of bolt I need here and is there any special trick to getting these bolt untightened?
thanks for the info. anyone got any tricks on getting the old bolt off. it not only is on ight but on the left side there is really no room to even tap on th socket wrench with a hammer or anything. I don't want to strip the head.
