I have a 05 FLHT and have read about various seat recommendations. I was wondering if there is a seat for the EG that is lower and further back than the standard seat. It could be a single or double.
I have the Badlander seat on my Roadglide (see below) and it lowers you seat height and moves you back in the saddle. It's not the softest seat I've ever owned but it looks good and repositions you. Look in the Harley Big Book at the descriptions of the seats. I know that they have at least one more seat that positions you back a little for really tall riders. Problem is it is probably taller than stock. Most of the really thin seats (custom seats) listed in the book will put you back a little.
I just installed a LePera Silhouette Solo on my standard and it definitely moves you down and back. Yes it's a bit hard but it gives an awesomely clean look and is easily swapped if you have the need to go 2-up.
i have a badlander on my glide, since the glide has a soft suspention, the seat rides much better than on most bikes. i have rode 7 hours straight and wasnt worn out, and my but was fine. their are plenty on ebay pretty cheap. you may want to check them out.
good luck
I am 6'2" and 300+...I ride a road king and recently installed a Corbin 2up Dual Tour seat...It moved me back a couple of inches and made it much more comfortable...I have friends that have Mustang seats on their RK's and they moved them forward. The Corbin is more expensive, but it is well worth it. Also, the quality seems to be superior to the mustang...The more you ride, the better it feels...I purchased mine from an ebay store delivered for 437.00, the catalog price was 625.00.
