Has anyone tried Harley's new Detachable Fairing Lower Hardware Kit (58146-07)? How securely do the clamps hold the lowers? Also, how easy are the lowers to remove using the clamps? Please let me know your thoughts so I don'twaste$89.
I've got the kit on my scoot...........bottom clamps work great.....the top ones are a pain in the *** if you use the liners (I do)........ I only use the bottoms right now
How easy does it make for some low life to steal the lowers? We all have heard the horror stories of how easy it is to take the hard bags off the touring bike why make it easier for them to take the lowers.

Are you referring to a cloth liner inside the lower's pocket?
I've got the Rivco kit from Eglide Goodies. They work great....simple on and off within 10 minutes or less. They fasten very securely. As in most Rivco parts..top notch quality.
I have had them on my o5 for about 3 months now. Easy on and off; will probably leave them on for the next few months while it is cooler. Work great so far.
Was holding off on buying them for awhile ,then thru them in on an order from zanotti's, $70 and shipping was included sence I was buying other things anyway. to cool out to try them
