I've said before that I won't be buying any more Kury stuff. I bought an expensive (to me) set of highway pegs for the Sportster in Sturgis. They made it home and basically self destructed in under 2K miles. The outer part of the peg was PRESS FIT on the inner part that hinges. Well, on something the MIGHT VIBRATE A LITTLE, the press fit let loose, and the peg sits on the side of the road somewhere within a few miles of my house. The other one was already starting to get loose at the same place. I replaced them with some genuine HD pegs and they are working fine. I'm done with Kury.
I totally dissagree. There engine kits kick but You can buy crap with anyones brand, no one is exempt.[:@]
Mine made big power and had great manners at low speeds and ran good on 91 octane without pinging [121 h.p. 108 torque]
if you don't want Kury parts on you bike, guess you won't be buying a lot of HD parts either, since many of the parts are made by Kury and repackaged as HD....fairing wings, grips, exhaust heat shield bridge, chrome brake/clutch cover kits, midframe heat shields.
I've had good luck with Kuryakyn. the chrome has been great and the products are high quality.
RJ:
How are things going. Have you got the RJ Originals built for the '08s now? I still tickled with mine and they really do make it a pleasure to ride the UC, especially in the heat. Did a 2+K run to the coast (Pacific, not that funky one your way), and thru Yosemite and back to Boise. Although the temps were over 100 in many areas, the deflectors really did their job. In traffic or on the road, heat was never an issue on the legs or thighs. Keep up the great work.
I hear ya fellas, found out the hard way about kury. I will never buy that chit again and put it on any of harleys. thier junk looks cool but is just that... Junk. never again
