Holes in Road Glide Windshield

Are the holes on the sides suppose to be slotted just looked at my new one and noticed the center hole is round ok i understand that but the side holes are slotted...i would have guessed they would have been round also. If this is correct anybody got any hints on installation??? I knew i should have kept the 05 touring service manual till the new one arrives.

The center one is the only one with a hole. The rest are slotted.

Center is your starting point for installation. Then you start the side screw working from center out.

Yep, mine too. Allows for some variability in manufacturing and slight expansion/contraction due to temperature. Either that or they are miniature vent holes...
