I am amazed at the responses here. WTF, is this site taken over by complete Azz holes? Should we not be posting:
[ul][*]where we should ride [*]where we should get together and have fun[*]where the girls are[*]what products really work to improve your bikes quality[*]how we can benefit and improve our quality of life [*]how we can benefit and improve our community[*]how we can respect each other[/ul]
As far as whether you wear bags or not, who gives a good god damned. You keep bickering over useless drivel, we will not have anything to come to. Some of you wear poorly. Motorcycling was founded and we were attracted to the comrades in arms, lifestyle about freedom of choice. By some of your posts, the complete lack of experience of motorcycling and life skills shows through. Shut the fu*k up and ride, come back in 30 years when you got a clue what it is all about .

This post was started by hogbag07 about “Baggers look naked withouttherebags?Any idea who sells the covers that hide the shocks when the bags are off . I read about them on this site.I have been using the search engine but can't seem to find anything on them” Not on what your own misguided philosophy is whether to wear bags or not.

You want something to whine or bitch about, try this post out for size. Who gives a damned why you do what you do? Want to take your bags off, so be it, how can I help you!

I've thought about doing this before. Kinda similar to the quickskirt except maybe having a side cover that is 1 piece that covers side cover hole and the shocks and then ends. I think it would look kinda cool. Like a big dyna but with the ride of a touring bike. Would really look cool on a Road king. To each his own, just enjoy the ride.

I like that question. Kinda like when I see softails convert their softails to baggers.
Exactly! In September 1984 I bought a belt drive 1985 5 speed Softail Super Custom (STSC). They were the only Softails that had chrome and only came in maroon or blue with painted matching frame. It cost me $8,400 in Cement City, Michigan. It was worth the 1,100 mile drive each way.

I live in Fort Lauderdale. We get rain sometimes, lots of it. Sometimes the temperatures plummet to the 30’s when we ride up to Daytona during March. [ul][*]I fabricated the two mounting tabs on the forward controls frame mounting tabs & attached the FL crash bar and mounted the 85 Ultra lowers. I bought a King Of the Road batwing for $10, chromed the support mounting brackets and bought the largest windshield. I drilled & tapped the triple trees for the mounting brackets and mounted the batwing.[*]A 7” headlight filled the gap.[*]I bought a King Of the Road trunk and fabricated a bracket that attached onto the struts. I originally had the quick disconnect brackets (the type with springs & Hooks) so the trunk was removable.[*]I fabricated mounts to attach the 80 ci saddle bag brackets & mounted them. In 1985, this was the first “Undresser Ultra Softail” I ever seen.[/ul]When pulling up to the Hyatt (nearest I want to get to camping), I just removed everything (cloths still in the bags/trunk) and placed it on the cart than brought it up stares. The only thing showing was the two mounting tabs for the crash bar and the saddle bag chrome rack.

Why just not buy a “Bagger”? I heard that question in 1985 but when caught in a monsoon or cold azz rain, I do not see the same people who asked those questions. They are home watching the rain on their TV. I guess the answer to the question: Why Not?
