Looks great Cwilks. Funny how some people bash. If you aren't using what they are, it's ****.
Hate away people, it must make you feel good in some way.
Yeah, I never did get why people bash... Ignorance I guess.... I rode a SG with the cyclesmith 13's on it and it was great!! handled well and was very comfy.. If I had a batwing, I'd have 'em on in a second... And like I said, I had apes on my king and switched, and now I'm puttin 'em back on...
Love the look Cwilks... nice job...
Any problem seeing out the rear mirrors? This mod might be on top of my Christmas list. What kind of installation time would be involved and how much were the bars?
I'm seriously considering the 13" but the mirror thing stays on my mind.I will probably go back to bar mounted mirrors if I go for the bars. This means changing out the inner fairing to get rid of the fairing mirrors. [:@]
Never have ridden a bike with apes (aside from my Schwinn.
I think they look GOOD on some bikes, such as Wide Glide's etc. On batwing bikes, I think they look out of place. But, to each his own, and "Dont' knock it til you try it", I guess
The apes look good! I had 18's on my Road King and loved them! I wiil be putting them on my Road Glide shortly I just don't know how high I want to go.

I'm pretty sure you do not have to change the inner fairing... You can buy plugs either thru HD or at your local hardware store that plug the holes left by the mirrors... Can anyaone confirm this or am I thinking about somethin' else??
I don't see where there'd be a problem just getting some rubber plugs to put in the holes left from the mirrors. With the 16's you look under your arms at the mirrors......takes a little getting used to just like anything new. I don't think your going to have a problem with 13's and the stock mirrors but I've been wrong before.....to each his own

Ride safe,
Jeff,
I got the bars from Bart @Cateye Customs (shooter64 here) they were like $160 shipped...........took me like a week working off and on in my garage. If ya have an indy do it I think they charge like 5 or 6 hrs. plus parts (cables, wiring, brake hoses)...just guessing though
