Im afraid if I do take the trunk my off of my EGC Ill start changing seats and winshields and theneverything else.
The majic word is I'm scared !
I'd try to make the tour pack a quick release. Unless your going on a trip you need to pack a lot of stuff, it sure is nice to have it off to cruise around and loose all the extra weight. Sure makes riding around much nicer.
Like to look, nice!
What all do I need to do the same for my 07 EC? Anyone made a bracket to retain the radio and CB antenna?
Having the CB installed today. Would hate to lose my tunes and CB option.
The first thing I had done to mine when I bought it was to have the antennae relocation mounts added and the quick-release for the tour pack. Only problem is, it still takes nearly 20 minutes to unhook everything and get it off and the antennae's relocated, but it does look sharp. The mainthing is the tour-pak sure is convenient for my wife's purse, etc.
Looks good Army! What size passenger backrest do you have, medium or tall?
-Bill-
I'd look at the tall, My wife is 5'2' she really likes the one on my bike. Are you gonna go with detachable hardware ?
Yeah, I like the detachable feature. I've been researching the '08's since September & I'm pretty well decided on the FLHT. I need a backrest for my wife though & with the thickness of the stock seat I think I need the tall backrest.
I did the medium sissy bar and the smooth backrest.
I crammed the wires under the seat...that was one of my biggest issues, there is not as much room under there as I would have thought. I am going to look at putting some in the side panel...if there is room.
