I have an 06 RK Police with the solo air seat.Like the setup but that Tank is one ugly sucker.Any help would be appreciated as far as hideing it or any mods. Thank You
Send me a pic - I can help you out - very well versed in customizing bikes. I need one of tank and over all of bike. If it is what I'm thinking - I got a cool idea.
gunworks:
the police bikes are great. i have the '04 road king police. i relocated the air tank into the right saddle bag. i put sticky back velcro on the tank and on the inside of the saddle bag and stick the tank on the velcro. it works great. i used a small saw and cut a very small slot in the top edge of the saddle bag for the air line to 'snap' into.
ride safe and keep the shiney side up.

Depends what he thinks , I have a better idea- saw it on a vintage police bike.
We are looking into using the right side under the electronics, there is a space. we are going to use that area for the reserve tank for our Penske shocks. Do not see why it can not be used for this purpose also. It would be hidden.

Allright, here you go - saw this on a old school police bike- if you are still using the solo seat - chrome the tank and mount it right behind the seat - EXPOSED - the look would be absolutley trick - I seen it before only it was a fire extinguiser - I try to find the pic- Excellent conversation piece!
Thank you.. for all of the great info.I sure am glad that I found this board the people are very helpful.I will try under the Electronics,I wanted to try to keep this tank out of the bags, since we wear 1/2 helmets, the fit inside
It never quite got warm enough to ride today so I got the grinder out to my ugly air tank. Hit it with a spray can and it will work until I do a winter takedown..
