ECM changed now speedo correct

I recently installed a Tmax andtoday was the first longer ride on the bypass... Icome to find out that now my speedo is reading correctly to the GPS when before it was 3mph slower than what the GPS said...

Is it possible that the Tmax ECM calibrates the speedo?

When you first program the tmax there is a number code you put in for speedometer calibration for the bike it is being installed on. Who ever programed and/or installed your tmax put the code in. If you put on larger than stock wheels the code would need to be changed.
