The 100th was a good time, with one exception of course, but I assure you the same mistake won't happen again.
?????
ELTON FUC ING JOHN.... was the "big" secret performer they had booked for the main show.
It was funny as hell, we were to the west couple hundred yards behind the stage grounds and people were leaving in droves, by the thousands is seemed, pissed off and in dis-belief that the best HD could come up with was EJ. talented musician, but the wrong guy for the venue, what a bunch of dumbasses at HD.
I'm sure the yuppies enjoyed the show..... we just went back to camp and partied
we are going again though, it was a good time with good riding all around the area.
About 15 miles for me, so I'll be there. I have to say the cops did a great job at the 100th. They let the good times happen and got the drunks and fighters out of the way.
We have about 10 couples from Birmingham going. I booked 5 rooms in the first few hours and got reservations the same day. We are fortunate to be only 1.6 miles from the event. All those rides that Harley has set up, we have the one from Mobile , Alabama stopping hear for the evening and we are having a party for them and then we will ride out with them the next morning. Can't wait. Bldr
Friend & I will be leaving from Tallahassee, Florida. We've been to the 95th & 100th so we are looking forward to the 105th. We'll take the long road up and back and make a long trip of it.
I am going. Riding up from Tallahassee Fl. I always go and visit my parents in Milwaukee every August anyway. I have always taken the car or flew before. Thistime I will take my RG.
I havent decided if I will go up a week earlier and spend time with my parents first, or ride up, meet folks on the way, and visit parents after. Decisions, decisions, decisions!!
