I have the Rush with 1.50 baffles. They arelouder than stock. My brother has the Rush 2.0 baffles - much louder & sound good. I went with the 1.5 baffles because of the lean stock settings the bikes already experience. They are a good quality product.
I foundgently used Rush with 1.5" baffles and think the sound is great vs stock. I was looking for a used set of either 1 3/4" or 2" baffles but find I'm happy with the 1.5". No popping on decel and my bike finally sounds like a Harley.
Will be getting Jamie's modified baffles for the Rush with PC III and Stage 1 air cleaner next.
I never heard Rush on a bike before I bought them so glad it worked out for me. Go listen to some if you have the opportunity.
I have Rush muffles with 2.0, in my 07 Rd King. I like them alot, but desire a little more sound. Next spring I'm going to the 2.5 baffles( I like it LOUD).
I have the Rush slip-ons, slash up, with 2.5" baffles. They are nice and loud... but what I really like about them is all the BASS. I mean, these pipes shakes cups in the kitchen of my neighbour's house (or so he tells me). I have gotten a bit of discolour on the front portion of one of the pipes... not real pleased about that (something that I will be contacting Rush about, and will also ask Fuelmoto about).
I really like my Rush slip on muffs, so far. The sound is exactly what I was looking (or listening) for. Loud enough to regularly set off car alarms. The look good too.
Now for the downside, which isn't really a problem of the muffler, but a problem due to excessive heat coming from the right side exhaust. The muffler has turned color, just a "tinge" on the right side where the muffler connects to the exhaust. nothing too serious, but I know it's there.
I've scheduled a SERT and A/C install for this winter, so that should help with the heat. I would have appreciated someone, either the dealer or Rush stating that this could occur. I had the Rush mufflers installed on dealer suggestion. I'm sure they'd take care of it if I got upset over the issue, but I'll deal with that at a later time.
Bottom line: Love the mufflers. Exeeded my expectations.
I went to my local dealer today and inquired about the Stage one upgrade for my 08 Ultra and asked about the Screaman Eagle mufflers to go with it. He said they no longer even carry the SE due to the fact that they are too quiet. He then recommended the Rush mufflers. Would like feedback from anyone with these on their touring bike.
Got a great deal on mine and glad I did. I have the 2.0 baffle and for me, wish they were a little louder except when I'm on a long run and enjoying some tunes.
Seriously, my experience has been good. Have about 5 grand on the bike and they've gotten a little bit louder, but I come from a history of running no baffles so what do I know???
Great product, great fitment, great quality, and they come from the USA! What more could you ask for?
I lucked into mine for half price from the stealer since someone tried them and didn't like them. They sounded good before I had the coin for true duals (V&H) but sound even better now.
You got a thumbs up from me. After I do my speakers I'm thinking about the 2.5 baffles. We'll see.
