Thanks for the positive review, below are some anwsers to questions asked
CREEPSHOW....no weak spot because there is no loss of metal and the heat is low and concentrated with the weld so metal properties are kept in tact. if you look closely at the pic with my hand holding the light, you can see the "coffin" is all steel just three holes were drilled, two tapped for the screwes and one for the wires to run through.
PANOILI.....I did quite a bit of searching and due to the ID of the tubing , i was pretty limited with light manufacturer. I havent seen a driving light that would fit inside andhave sufficient lumens to do this mod, but my driving lights replaced the oem signal light location, that may an option for you.
PHILM... HD part # 49155-05 in the 2008 catalog $239.95...what a ball breaker removing the rubber heel rests. Im 6'1" @ 242 so its very comfortable height to rest my heels along with the Danny Gray seat. Thanks
I saw something very similar on "TRUCKS!" or one of the other shows on Saturday morning. They were hiding led brake/tail lights. They went so far as to smooth it all out and paint right over the top and the led's show through when lit up. Very sharp.
I really like the look of that but i would have 2 problems, 1 being like Phil said the highway peg and 2 being when it's cold and the soft lowers get put on the lights would be covered? Wanna try it to a set of sporty bars?
