"If" they were going to keep the VR's narrow profile, it needs a different fairing. Maybe the FXRT?? Maybe those bags too. (Or they could just bring back the FXR . . . yeah . . . that'll happen) If they are going to step up and make a real touring bike out of the VR, it needs the big front end (16" tire). I thought the newer ones had 5 gal tanks. That should be enough range.
Not sure. I've ridden a couple VR's. Yeah, fast, but squirelly. Not as smooth as the Heritage either.
I'm sure the 2010 RG will look very much like this year's. Good thing too !! Maybe they'll get smart and put a tourpack and lowers on it. Or have a seperate Ultra model. I'm sure they would sell the heck outta that !!!
I like it. I have seen the v rod with the batwing, and thought it looks better than the shark nose one. But still, the frame is to small for us fat guys. These pics seem to be more of a touring rig. Good find Pappy.
They look nice, but the V-Rod just isn't built on the touring frame and that is apparent the whole time you're riding it. Nice bike to be sure, with some punch and attitude, but that slouched seating position evident on most cruisers just doesn't get it for all-day riding.
Someone likened the V-Rod to a sport bike - that's way off the mark, too.
