I did a write up on the J&S jack including the diffence between the two. I would post the link but not that good at this forum yet
Besides price what is the difference between the red Sears and the J&S lifts??
Jim
Night and day. The J&S is super stabil without strapping it down. Yes you can throw it around pretty good without worrying about the quality or stability of the lift. I am 300lbs and I can climb all over the bike with it fully extended. Worth every penny imo. Especially considering the fact that there is 25K+of my money hoisted up in the air.
Btw I'm not putting the Sears jack down. Just saying you get what you pay for.
The garage door caught one of my antenna and when I opened the door it dragged and threw the bike and jack on a roll across the garage floor and crashing into some boxes. Bike stayed steady and rock solid on top of my J&S Jack. I'm sold.
One difference might be I am willing to leave this here till I can get my clutch fixed. No straps. Ordered this two years ago. No broken parts, no " been sendin stuff for years and never had a problem before...' it is just good quality, great craftsmanship (no similarities intended ).
Got the oil drip pan as well, just wished I had ordered the Sporty adapter, I still got it.
