At 12K miles on my 07 SG, I had the two main brackets go, one completely broke and the other cracked. One of the smaller internal brackets was also broken. Didn't notice any fairing vibration, but caught it during the oil temp guage install! Fixed under warranty. Lucky.

Mine broke on my 07 also... Right side so far... I did similiar to SGLarry above for the repair, but made my bracket come back a little further and used some 1\8 X 3\4 flat stock I had laying around in the garage... Had to trim back the factory bracket to fit it in, but it won't break there again.... It looks like a very weak spot, chaulk it up to a poor design..
