Not my favorite topic, but I'm in the market for insurance:
Who in your opinion is the best, honest rates, and of course being there when you NEED them. Not looking for the cheapest, looking for GOOD insurance without having to hock my first born.I have no tickets, no accidents and excellent scores.
I have Gieco cause it was cheap but, Progressive was more professional sounding when I called for a quote.. about 40.00 more for me with Progressive and the agent seemed to know more about what the coverages were about.
I did go with Gieco however, at least for this year since winter is setting in and they offered a winter time lay-up discount for me in Ohio..
I went wth Geico. They already do my Car, and my House (through a different division). They've been really good any time I've needed to call on them.
I would never go with Progressive. Being a libertarian, I have no interest in funding their chairman's collectivist political activies, with which I strongly disagree.

I have had Progressive for many years(still do for all my other vehicles), but when I bought my HD the dealiership suggested I get a quote SAFECO. I did and they had a more to offer and a better rate, so I went with them.
I called Harley Davidson and asked them.
The MOCO uses 4 different companies and does the shopping for you.
I was quoted $450.00 to $1200.00 per year and the woman I spoke to recommended the lowest which I think is Foremost.
It probably depends on your age , which model , what state ,blah blah....
I am in upstate New York , and my usual insurance guy couldn't come close for the price.
Just what I found.

Another Progressive customer here. Good price & very professional to work with. I had an accident claim last year. When my service manager learned I was insured with Progressive, he said no problem, you're golden, their rep knows his stuff.
