Before I bought my Duramax I had a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 sitting on 35" tires that dynoed at 432RWHP and 980 Ft/Lbs TQ. I also had 6" stacks on it and at night I could put headlights out behind me they would just dissappear. When I dynoed my truck dissappeared in the building ut put out a ton of smoke. It would also run a 14 second quarter mile. There is a guy in Colorado with a crew cab Duramax sitting on 35"s that runs a 10 second quarter mile in 4 wheel drive its wicked fast for a truck. I don't know his numbers though. Check out my friends pulling truck at www.smoknya.com
Hot Pursuit's number are in his signature 500HP and 1000 TQ WOW! Isn't it amazing what you can do with a diesel truck!?!? That's why I love em! It's fun to bust a little race car and be able to get 25 MPG also have 4x4 and be able to pull 15,000-25,000 LBS. Nice truck Hot Pursuit and video!!!
I'm a big diesel fan myself, don't own one yet though...I use my Hemi Durango to tow the camper now, I'm waiting for the tranny to blow onit, so I can "justify" the purchase to the ole ball & chain....Everything's paid off and she loves not having to write a few checks every month...
I might have to resort to some sort've sabotage before next camping season....lol
This video does no justice!! Rob took me for a ride in that thing Thanksgiving day and it hauls ***, i never thought a big heavy diesel would shift that hard through the gears, and blow into tripple digits so fast. I'm used to driving a 2400 lb car with 670 hp so i like fast stuff, and that truck is a blast.
