Default Taillight bulbs

Ok I am having an issue with tailightbulbs on the RG. I got a laydown tailight cover for it back in the spring, with it came instructions to use an LED bulb instead of the filament bulb. I have since tried 3 different ones and they keep blowing. The first one was also too dim to really tell the difference from running light to brake light. What i am wondering is if anyone has a link to a good bright led 1157 bulb that i can get ahold of. The first one I got from a parts supply store and the next were a pair from ebay someplace.

thanks

I melted a hole in my lens using a regular bulb. I went to autozone and bought a two pack of red LED bulbs. The first one I did not have fully seated, and when I was making the adjustment, I pulled out the leads, and broke it. The second one, that was in the pack, seems to be working fine, for now.

For around $100.00 you can put on a Laydown LED Tail Lamp (Kuryakyn)... Have had the same one on my '01 RKC since '01 and put one on my '07 RG... Son runs the Kuryakyn Panacea LED Lamps look great & function as a Run-Brake-Directional - I have tought about doing the same thing as the rear lamps will flash 3 times before going solid & you can really see these from a distance..

I have tried the 1157 LED's Bulbs on a couple of other Putts and like you they just didn't last at all...

I got one of those spinning led bulbs on ebay. They flash when you hit the break. It's much brighter than my normal red bulb was. They are about $15 or so. I bought 2 just in case.
