I had them on my '05 and this was my reaction, too. Sitting on the bike in the garage, I thought I had made a mistake. Once I got out on the road, though, I liked them a lot, especially two-up. Very easy install - I could even do it.

Yep, easy install (especially if I could do it!) The worst part was the drill I had was an old, low powered Black & Decker, and wouldn't drill thru the inner fairing. I went to Home Depot real quick and bought a 16 volt model, almost worked too well (punched the hole and kept on going, too long of a drill bit!)

I like the low profile look, and actually get a better view than the stock mirrors.

Easy install, just be careful remember it's plastic. I'm not a big fan of the fairing mirrors, but they are there now so it's to late. I bought the 2" extensions for the other mirrors and use both, looks like Gman's with 4 mirrors. Works super, gives me a great perspective from behind I now can see the blind spot.

I'm purty big & they work ok, but I wish I'd mounted mine an inch or so further outboard & higher. Here's what I plugged the holes with:

they are ok, but I still didn't like the limited vision to the rear. guess it is about my shoulders and my passengers. i use them for the blind spot on the side, but ended up putting some long stem HD mirrors on. works great now, have a good view of the sides and rear now.
