I removed my stock shocks on my 08 Street Glide and went with a set of progressive 412's. After some hesitation I got the 11" version in black. I am 5'6/7" so I wanted the bike lower. The dealer I buy everything from told me he'd take them back and get me the 11 1/2" if I hit the fender. I weigh in at about 180. I have the shocks at the lowest preload setting as they came out of the box. SO far I am very happy. They lowered the bike only a half an inch but the ride is not as harsh as it was with the lowering brackets. So now if anyone is interested I have 2 sets of lowering brackets. One is a set I made (I'm a tool and die maker) They are for sale. I paid 75.00 on ebay for the one set. The set I made is better and stronger and adjustable. I will probably sell my shorter street glide shocks too. So if any one out there is interested let me know or make me an offer.
