Rick,
Phil Tip #234: You will have to disconnect at the crossover, which is the fuel line that connects the two sides of the tank and runs under the tank at the front. Get a 2' piece of fuel line (I think it is 3/8" id but check) and a bolt the same as the fuel line id. Get a gas can. Very quickly, disconnect one side, plug the crossover with your thumb and slip the fuel line over the expose fuel nipple and have the other end in the gas can. That will drain into the gas can. Slide the bolt into the fuel line your are blocking with your thumb. You will have to drain the other side too because a little gas will be left. That empties the gas tank but does not purge all the fuel from the EFI system. Your fuel rail will still be under pressure. Make sense? I would still run some Stabil through the system before draining because fuel is still in the system.

Do all of that while smoking a big stogie of course. Nothing like a good sweet Cuban stoge while draining the tank!
