Has anyone tried drilling holes in the baffles of their 08 street glide. I am thinking of doing it and have a few questions.
Would it make it any throughtier?
Would it make the bike run leaner and thus even hotter?
Would it void the warrantee?
Ya really don't want to go there.... They're a CAT EPA Approved Muffler - Ya need to keep them OEM for the EPA crap starting soon... You would be much better off just getting a aftermarket set like RUSH as you can choice your own sound levels...
While I have done this on other bikes I've owned, I got the sound i was listening for with a slightly used set of Rush slip-ons for a little over $200. Drillin' pipes on a $20K bike not worth the risk IMO.
I have not done it. However, everyone says to buy new exhaust. I think you might as well try drilling them. If you ruin the stock pipes, who cares! You would be replacing the stock pipes, so drilling them could save you a few hundred bucks.
Nope, nada, zip.....wouldn't do it.
I have seen several people try this and take the baffles completely out....Sounds like train wreck. Go with everyone's advice and get some slip on's. There are a lot of options out there.
