Default 95" build

Hi All,

Just a few questions on my upcoming build, These are the part's
05 e-glide
95' CYL
1550 SE flat tops
26g cam and gears
pcIII
SE race slipons
Jet Scream A\C

Should I replace the lifters and pushrods at this time?
Any idea what to expect as I had the bike tuned by Cycle Solutions in Sturgis this year with 88" ,pcIII, slipons, and Jet Scream a\c
I got 69.5 hp and 74 tq
The bike pulls strong but I'm a porker and ride two up alot ,I want a little more passing power and grunt
I'm not aposed to doing headwork in the future...
Is this the right choice as I haven't bought the cams yet !!!!

Thanks for your help ...

You don't need to replace the pushrods; stock pushrods will work; it's just a trade-off in labor cost to pull the tank and rocker covers to reuse the stock pushrods versus the new parts costof adjustables and covers. As for the lifters, if you have very low miles on the current lifters re-use them; if over 20K, replace them with the HD "B" lifters for ~$100.

I have the Head-Quarters HQ-0034 cams in my '04 EG w/ Rinehart TD's and SE a/c. I like them a lot and the bike runs very strong. They are a similar grind to the 26 you are considering. Before the cam swap, the bike was 75/79 hp/tq which was standard at my dealership for the TD's and a/c. With the cam swap the bike is much faster. I hate dyno numbers because of the variables in operators and conditions; but the HQ cams should provide about 80-84 hp and 87-91 tq. with a good tune on an 88; better with a 95.

Use Harley's adjusutable push rods and you will not haveto remove the rocker boxes. So no need to do lifters/valve springs.
26 cam is a bolt on--mild cam. It has good low end tq.
It is approximately equal to HD 203 but gear driven.
My build is a HD Stage Two 95", 203.SE11 pipes, SE A/C, and a remap.
About 80 HP and low nineties TQ. VERY happy.

I think the gas tank and stuff comes off anyway as the new jugs and pistons are going in at the same time, Am I right ?
Does anybody have a breakin pcIII download for this build ???

Why not high comp pistons, instead of flattop? I would run the Hi-Comp. Replace the PC with Race Tuner. Spark knock will not be an issue.

I'm using the '07 cam plate & oil pump with the 26N cam. Nice and quiet, no gear noise.

If I were you, I would check into the HQ kit. Your numbers will turn out to be a lot higher.

I wouldn't run high compression pistons with a TW26 cam, unless your into pinging as your road tunes.
