I have a 2005 FXDX 88 CI with stage 1, SE air with K&N and SE Slipons. I have a PCIIIUSB. I was looking for input or experience with this setup ( or close ) with the 0034 cams. Would this work with the slipons I have or would I need different exhaust? I am mainly looking for a torque boost. Anyone have any graphs or tuning maps on a similar build. The maps from Power Commander doesn't have a lot for this year Dyna. Are adjustable pushrods required for this or could the stock ones be reused.

Unless you are prepared to remove the heads for a SERDI valve job and milling to achieve 9.6 static CR with a .030" head gasket, the 0034 will not be compatible with your cnfiguration. Go to the HQ website where they will tell you the same thing. HQ always caveats their performance claims with a disclaimer that the HQ specs for compression must be part of the modification. If you want to run the HQ cams and set up the modification per their instructions, you would see 90HP/100TQ from your TC88, or very near those numbers depending the tune and an exhaust change to a good 2:1 pipe.
If you don't want to go that route, bolt in a set of S&S 509s and call it good. No maps please, get the bike on a dyno and get her tuned. Change/upgrade the inner and outer cam bearings. You have a choce on pushrods; more work, less $$ or more $$ and less work.
You can remove the tank, rocker box covers and loosen the rocker support and pull the pushrods from the top; note which goes where so you can put them back in the original location. Or, cut the stock pushrods with bolt cutters and install adustables.
Don't know how many miles on the bike but new set of lifters may be a good idea.
Thanks for the replies. How much better for torque is a good 2 into 1 versus the SE slipons. I got the SE package added when I bought the bike new. I want to keep the ground clearance for cornering that the FXDX has. I cant find any torque numbers that show me a comparison based my stock 88" with SE slipons versus differnt exhaust mods. Usually the engines have been altered also and the results aren't an appples to apples type of result. 9 years of the same old thing, so now its time to try something different.
I also have a question on adjustable pushrods. Some state that the rocker covers must be removed to use. What brands out there are designed so that they can be inserted without removing the rocker cover. Does any sponsor here sell a package deal with an Andrews 26, adjustable pushrods and lifters or do these all have to be bought separately?
