I've decided to give myself duals for Christmas, but am undecided whether or not to scrap the Rush 2.5's I have on the stock headers. Has anyone installed duals with their Rush slipons on a TC96? If so, which ones?

I have Rush 2.25" on my 88ci with true duals and really like them. They will make the Rush abit louder but you will also get a deeper tone with them. I went with the fullsac setup for the TD. I am very happy with my setup and would probably only change them out for a set of Reinharts. Bryan

I got the Rush 1.5's with V&H true duals,deep exhaust note. Originally had 2's but were too loud for me although everone else liked em.
We sell lots of TD with Rush muffs, sound is great but actually make better low end with the stock headpipes. The 2 1/2 are to big to make good power too,I'd switch to the 2inch baffleswith your duals.

You are probably going to get a lot of different answers on this. I also used the Fullsac conversion. I knew I wanted to run Rineharts but didnt know if I would like to keep them forever. That is why I didnt get Rinehart TD, only Rineharts will fit on there stepped head pipes. I also like the way the stock head pipes fit the bike. No need to shim out floorboards.

I finished the install yesterday of my new V&H Dresser Duals with the Rush 2.5's. Entire job took about 5 hrs, but it was well worth it. They look and sound great. A little bit louder than the stock headers and much closer to that true Harley sound.
So after I finished, I took her out for about at 20 mile loop. With the 2.5's, I was getting alot of decel popping which the shop couldn't seem to tune out ... even with the dyno. The decel popping is now COMPLETELY GONE!!! ... I'm not sure why but I can say absolutely no decel popping whatsoever.

I went with the Fulsac and I have the rush 2.0. Made them louder, but they sound great. and I also lost what little decel pop I had left. I had tuned out most of the pop with my SERT prior to installing the Fulsac conversion. so I say save a few bucks get the fulsac conversion and I think you will love the sound.
