Here's another question for you Harley experts out there. I'm looking at an '06, electra glide ultra classic with 40,000 mi for asking price of $15,900. The color combo is black cherry/black pearl. The bike looks to be in very good condition. It was a one owner, "regular" customer that buys a new bike every couple of years. I haven't started negotiating, but the salesman seemed to hint that there was room to negotiate. What do you guys think?
What upgrades and accessories have been added? What will you be adding and how much will that cost? I paid 18K for my 07 RG but I've poured a couple grand into it since. You need to consider these costs when you buy. The price seems high for a stock bike. If it has a stage 1 plus some chrome, it may be a good price. JMO. I'm no expert.
KBB has it listed for 17,495 but considers average miles at 10,000mi. Maybe the better question to ask would be what do you think would be a fair price for this bike. Didn't appear to have any aftermarket stuff except for a little extra chrome, but seemed to be in excellent condition and the dealer said that they had done all scheduled mnx.
I cant see paying over 14 k for that. Its a lot of miles on that scoot. Im envious of that. If you were going to spend that much you could find one with WAY less miles from a private seller for close to that.
In my opinion the bikes worth about 13,000 the mileage his high but it's a newer bike. Second thing to consider is that what you are looking for, meaning do you want all extras the Ultra has. If not I would buy a new Electra glide for a few grand more.
Seems kinda high with that many miles on it. I'd look for one with around 15-20K on it. Its a buyers market on used bikes right now. Theres a 2008 Ultraon the classified here for 19K with 90 miles on it. An 2007 EG classic for $16900
I agree, it seems high for the mileage. Don't give any monetary consideration for "bling", the stealer doesn't giveyou any value for them on a trade in.
