Probably the stealer filled it up and forgot to put it back. Tell your friend to go back to the stealership a get it. Come on for $20k plus, its the least they can do. And even refill the tank for the inconvience.

get the cap!!!!!! It will leak all over ur tank on tight turns if you don't.

Forget mine once also, went back the next day no harleycap but they had several caps from cars gave me one and it seems to work fine, been using it for about a year.

I bought the gas cap from eglide goodies for my roasglideand it is the most convenient thing I have done in a while. The gas cap screws to it and you dont need a key. Check it out.

Don't know if you can see this but I had to replace the gas cap on my truck and it came with the retaining strap that all cagers seem to have now. I popped the strap off the old one, drilled a 1/4" hole in the top of the Harley cap and secured the other end to the under side of the cover. Looks like Harley did it and you can't loose the cap.
