You could, but I'd just have the dealer do the whole thing, provided they sell RUSH mufflers. Most do, so just ask 'em.

You might as well get it all done at one place and avoid the hassle. I saw a stack of RUSH mufflers at the local shop this past weekend.

I would avoid eBay unless you are 100% sure it will work on your bike. There were changes for '08 and I don't know if they apply or not. Not worth the risk, imho and if you buy Harley, you get the HD warranty along with it.

Just a thought.

Fantastic man...seems like you're really hyped about it so given that I thinkyoudefinately got the ride 'you' wanted and you'll no doubt be very happy with it.

I just got my RK in August and will never look back now.

Welcome to the club buddy, makea few mods such as more air and new slip on pipes and a new EFI module and you'll have more power than you need.

You made a great choice...welcome to HARLEY WORLD!

Already told ya.....

You don't really need the SERT right away if you just add the rush slip-ons.

I personally do not believe in the SERT. I feel that the PCIII does a better job and can be tuned by the owner rather than the dealer. the SERT is just the HD version of fuel management which (like most aftermarket HD Parts) is not as good as some of the others but cost twice as much. HD coerces many people into getting the SERT rather than a PCIII, Fuel Pak etc. by saying that anything besides the HD parts will void the warranty.

Just get the slip-ons first since you want the sound..... then add the PCIII and intake when you have the cash.

Congrats and I feel your excitement. I bought a Road Star back in 1999 when they first came out and it was a nice bike but I was always trying to get it to sound like a Harley. So figured what the he!!, I might as well just get a Harley. I love my Road Glide as I'm sure you love your POSE. Get some pictures up now, we're anxious to see it.
Givea shout next time you're headed east toward Dallas and maybe a few of us can meet to see your new ride.

I only added Rush slip-ons and now it sounds like a Harley should IMO.
