I want to sell me Anniversary Road King Classic fuel injected. Can anyone tell me what a fair winter price is? 20K miles, very good condition. I did alot of mods, but am leaving them out of the price.
Keep in mind that these for sale bikes are what tthe owner is asking for it and not the final sale price (you can normally take 90% of the asking price as a sale price...
Accessories (Bling-Bling) really does not add value to the resale market - However Performance Up-Grades to (upto 65%)
....are you sittin down?....about $9,000.....if your lucky enough to find a buyer that is...market is completely gone right now....(thank you Sub-Prime lenders...).
First it would be good to know how badly you need to sell it. If it is not pressing you, do a good write up detailing your bike history (adult owned, how it is stored and how it was ridden...hiway or city etc.) and upgrades listed item by item with cost of each. Keep it immaculately clean and park it in a high traffic area with the list of upgrades attached to it. I did this and just sold my 2000 RK with 36K for $13,500 (fantastic), although it took 3 months and manyinquiring phone calls. Depend on your buddies as good advertising using word of mouth. Be patient and believe in your bike.
You can sell it, but you wont get what its worth in todays market. It is the best EVO they ever made, and the last year of it, so there are a few buyers who will pay more than say a year older would bring. It being a anny version will carry little or no extra value, its been proven in every anny model bike they ever made, after a few years they bring the same as non anny models.
I have the same Bike 1998 road king classic anniversary bike with 10,813 miles.
Hoping to get more than 8k for sure
numbered bike (what ever that is worth)
complete 95th badging with cover
last year evo Motor (the best Motor Harley ever made)
will wait till spring if it takes that long to get a fair price
