Guy was telling me today about some friends that hit a deer. They had a deer whistle. My reply was "I always wondered if those things worked. Now I know." T

I worked in a few body shops, many deer hits, many deer whistle replacements!
Go figure!!
Was always funny when the owners of the cars wanted them replaced if insurance overlooked them.
Chrome or black, didn't matter.
Now, forcow magnets or the Vornado for fuel economy...........

Live in Central Texas.... more deer then you can imagine....
Have them on my car and bike and never have had a deer come close....every morning I drive to work down a suburb street with deer in yards eating the plants and never had one run out right in front of me... but have seen many stop eating and look my way...I won't have a vehicle without them..

Try one on your car/truck first (since you see alot of them on your way to work) and lets us know how it works.

A .308 and a spotlight would help..[sm=shootshoot.gif]And if that don't work [sm=deadhorse.gif]

I LIKE LOUD PIPES BETTER THEN DEER WHISTLES. THE DEER WHISTLES SEEM TO KEEP BLOWING OFF MY ULTRA? WE HAVE BIG DEER HERE IN KANSAS, eACH TIME I SEE ONE WHILE RIDING IT IS RUNNING THE OTHER WAY, NOT SO WITH THE P/U. mAKES ME THINKS GOOD ABOUT PIPES.

My mother had them on her car both times she hit a deer. Of course they could have been plugged with bugs. However. my guess is they either need to be properly tuned or they don't work. I have no idea on how to tune these whistles. I don't have them on any of my vehicles and have never hit a deer.
