Hey MUC, call VZ about the price. When i needed a new phone 14 months into my 2 year contract they let me resign for another 2 with the discounted phone rate. Worth a try. The env looks good but my eye is on the voyager.

I really don't need the internet access that comes with the PDA's and Blackberry's............so I guess I should start looking toward these 2 phones instead or any other phone with the full keyboard.

My Daughter has the Env and i just got the Voyger...we love them. I soooo hated text messaging on a regular phone. The touch screen is cool but you have to unlock the dang thing ever couple of seconds. -- I really need to see if I can find that setting.
I got the Preimium package so my daughter and I have Navigation....works pretty well. I've been messing with the music but waiting until Christmas to get a head set -- cause you don' know what santa is bringing.
Since it takes an 8 gb microSD I was thinking of rplacing my Ipod with it...but I haven't been able to check the battery life of playing music all the time. So far the battery has been pretty good though. I got 3 days of good use.

Steve, I have the Motorola Q 9M on Verizon and it works well for me. I send and receive a lot of emails. The phone reception in my area and where I travel is great. My battery will last a full day or more. One thing I have found is that I have a problem pairing it with my Zumo 550 when I am on the bike. No mater what I try the Zumo always indicates that it is on a call when in fact it is not. I think this is a Zumo problem as it pairs OK with my headset.
As someone said before, check with Verizon, they may make you a deal on replacing your current phone if you sign a new 2 year contract. Also try www.cellhut.com . Make sure anything you get off of EBay or anywhere else is the correct model for Verizon.

I have been using the Verizon/Motorola combination for many years (since it was called Bell Atlantic Mobil before Verizon wireless). Right now I have the Moto RazorII V9M, and it is by far the best cell phone I have ever used. The Verizon net is about the best you can get in the NYC Metro area....I get the most consistent, and furthest ranging signal possible with this combo, as sometimes while out in the woods, or inside in a elavator....I have signal, and my friends do not.
I've been with Verizon for about 5 years now.............and for me they are much better then ATT.
Basically I'm looking for a phone with the qwert keyboard for easier texting.
The Orange ENV looks good............have to check one out at the local store.

I have a Q on the VZW network and I'll warn you, don't purchase this phone.
1) Battery life on it sucks a$$. It's a known problem and no one has come out with a battery that is comparable to the Blackberry or any other voice/data device. I kind of get around it by configuring Active Sync to only look for e-mail every 10 minutes, but it's still really bad.
2) This phone has left me in a lurch a few time where it just shut down and I couldn't get the thing to start back up.
3) The glass screen scratches easily.
To be fair, I will say that it's a rugged device (except for the screen) and Windows Mobile 5.0 is a decent O/S, but WM 6.0 is out now and devices are out that will allow you you use a cellular network, like VZW, or a Wi-Fi hotspot.
My contract for my Q is up in February. I'm counting the days til I can go back to a Blackberry.
BTW, I'm resonsible for 600+ wireless phones and data devices in my company and my beefs with the Q are shared by a large number of people I bought the Q for.
