Glad to see your ok BoarGuard. The wrist will be fine soon. From the looks of that helmet, there could have been allot more damage.I have been thinking about using my full face more often.
Construction workers had been tracking mud onto the 2 lane blacktop country road and it was a light rain. Absolutly no time to react kind of like black ice. I was going 15-20 mph and the rear wheel broke loose, bars locked to the right and slammed me down hard must have slide 30 feet or more into oncoming traffic lane. Thank God no one was coming. Fractured, broken left wrist is my only injury, there is a reason we wear all this gear. Bike truly does not look that bad but the dealership is upwards to $7,000 I should find out more today.
Two cars behind me just kept going as I came to a stop and stood up.
Glad you're okay other than your wrist. Good visual on the protective gear and what it does. Too bad no one stopped to help out, really disappointing, but to be expected from most drivers nowadays. I find if I don't set my sights too high for expectation out of the masses I'm not usually too disappointed in the long run.
Wow, glad you were able to walk away. Everytime I see a helmet after a crash like yours I feel stupid wearing my 1/2 helmet. I know I should be wearing my FF all the time, but it's just not comfortable in warm weather. But those pics are scary and a wake up call.
The bike is the least of your worries, I am happy that you only got a small injury in comparison to what it could had been.
Look at it on the brite side, now you can order anything else you might had wanted and the insurance would oay for it...
Bummer you went down. I'm glad you survived. It looks like the helmet did its job. Heel up fast. I'm glad your still with us, it could have been much worse.
Yes I will heal in time and have always been one for freedom. Difinatly not going to preach helmets because I just started wearing one a short time ago, never wanted to in the past. This is just a reminder to all it can happen without warning and it could have been worse. I have been riding many years and consider myself to be a pretty safe rider and always on the lookout. There was no warning at all on this crash. The helmet will be replaced when I get back on the road and I will continue to wear one.
glad your ok.I went down in feb.71 yr old man making a left didn't see me. broke my left arm took 4 mos. before i could squeeze a clutch again. it still aint right yet. hope you do better.
