Close Call.......................
We are having wonderful weather here in Chattanooga this week, mid 70's, so after work I decided to jump on the scoot and run a couple of errands. Everything was going great , was sitting at a traffic light waiting to turn right. Light changes and I make my turn and run up to about 3rd gear when I notice a white compact jump into the turn lane and then swerve in front of me to make a left turn. Lucky for me I caught this movement bec I would have hit her and almost did anyway. I jumped on the binders and felt the rear coming around. I remember hearing squealing tires , obviously mine, and thought to myself 'get off that rear brake!'. The bike straightened up and the stupid b*tch , on the phone, slows down so I had to get back on the binders. This all took less than 10 seconds, but seemed like 10 minutes. She never looked up, never saw me, nothing. The guy next to me in the F150 hit his horn...WTF are people doing???!!!! I wanted badly to chase her down and cuss the little b*tch out, but she probably wouldny have had any idea what I was talking about.

Im glad to hear that you pulled alway safely.....that for sure though I would have been tempted to chase her down to...cars and cell phones are not a good combination for some people

I think it ought to be legal to shoot people with a cell phone to their ear while driving. I can almost understand using a bluetooth headset and taking calls, but holding the phone while driving (especially making turns) with one hand should put them in the "open season" catagory.
Glad to hear you were able to avoid what could have been a really nasty wreck (I would call it an accident, but with idiots like that its no accident).

I simply cant figure out WTF people are doing....When I am making a turn, coming to a stop, taking off from a light etc etc, I am constantly checking my surroundings no matter if Im in my truck or on the bike, and this chic, NEVER looked in my direction!! I could have been a dump truck with a full load and she would have never known what crushed her....

Year or so ago, was sitting at a stop light. Guy across from me had his left turn signal on. Light turns green, he looks me straight in the eye, and turns right in front of me.
I chased him for a while, shoudla thumped his ****! But decided twasn't worth the jail time

Glad you made it out of that tight spot okay. She was obliviouos to everything except her cell phone. I live just down the road from ya in a thriving metropolis, crandall, Ga.

Be very careful out there for the next few weeks until we clear the holidays.
Every driver out there seems to have their head firmly planted in their butt.
Besides the usual distractions you have folks in a hurry, holiday partiesand cagers not at all engaged in actual driving.
Down here in sunny and warm FL we have the added problem of our elderly seasonal residents and vacationers stopping to gawk at every palm tree.
Keep your heads on a swivel and ride like everyone is out to get you.
Every driver out there seems to have their head firmly planted in their butt.
