Cons: Two mufflers to clean.....you still have to take one off to change the rear tire. You're giving up some torque.

Pros: They look nice.

An they can be a PITA when a baffle blows out. That was the case with my Hard Krome 3" T-Rex true duals. I've had a baffle plate installed and that reduced the noise to a drivable degree. I've only heard one other person blowing out a baffle on a T-Rex.

I'm going to install 2-1 sitting in my den next.

Usually the duals are so loud that you don't end up liking them and want to quite them down. They really are a nusance when wanting to take a long trip or even a short one an listen to the radio! Then its "how" do I make something or find who ever makes something to quite them down.

Way more of a PITA then I've expected.

But if you want the noise, reduced heat, loss or changes in torque by all means go with true duals. Some places even give you a certificaiton of noise when you visit them, only draw back is you end up paying for that too. (A ticket)

Considering the same thing....primarily the heat issue, then the sound. I'll keep my SE slip-ons cause I like their sound. Ive allready done the SE A/C and remap. Waiting to decide on which management system....SERT or PC III. Any warranty considerations?

The stage one remap is sort of a half step.....in order to maximize performance with your configuration, you need to get a fuel managment system. If you go with the V&H head pipes (dresser duals) and keep your SE so's, along with the SE intake and filter....then you have a SERT installed and the bike dyno tuned....it should wake it up nicly...and reduce the heat and lean condition......all while still keep your warranty in force!

The only drawback would be that the True Duals stick out a little farther on the left side. I burned my leg 2 times before I learned my lesson. I guess I shouldn't be wearing shorts when I ride. T.

I just placed an order with Zippers for their Auto Tune and the D&D true duel headers. I will let you know what I think next week!

For me it is just knowing the motor breathes as good as it can.The sound is a little better. It also opens up the connection between motor and trans a real plus in my eyes.

Just installed a V/H true dual setup with their "basic" slip-ons , already had a Stage 1 H/D , K/N air filter , and soon to get a Power Commander . Been layed up with knee surgery, but will let ya know the results when I'm back in the saddle .
