I also have the V&H basics with the Dresser Duals, PC III, high flow AC. I've only got about 800 miles on them (all in the last few weeks) so hard to say on the heat issue but I certainly expect a right side reduction.Using the map I currently have, no obvious reduction in low end tq. The map is a bit rich thoughand I will be tweaking it soon to try and get back some of the 7-8 mpg I lost in the switch. Sound wise, couldn't be happier. They are marginally louder at cruising speed, significantly louder when opened up wide and about the same at idle and low speed. The change in volume doesn't impress me one way or another. I was quite happy with how loud my scoot was before duals. The big smile comes not from the loudness but the sound. Duals really give it the harley sound mentioned earlier in this thread. You have equal sound out of each side and end up with the lovely potato-potato that is the harley sound. All in all, I love them.

I don't agree about the loss of torque with the true duals, these are the numbers from my bike with the same dyno and tuner, only differance is the duals.
2007 Ultra Classic
96 c.i.
K&N a.c.
S.E. performance pipes (good one's bought in 2004)
PC III
Numbers before duals
71.0 h.p. / 83.5 torque
Numbers after duals
71.4 h.p. / 86.7 torque
So there you have it . Randy

Whatdo your torque figures look like at the lower end when you overlay them?

Is that going from a stock header pipe to the duals? My numbers jumped 5 h.p. and 11 lb.ft. of torque going from stock to a 2-1 pipe. Huge difference in the low end and still less heat!

Ram, The duals started out stronger between 1500-2500 and started to drop off a little earlier at around 5,000 .
Izzy , I a'm running Fulsac True Duals.
Bikergeoff, Yes that is going from the stock head pipes to the duals. I prefer the balanced look on a bagger myself, but if I were shooting for higher numbers the 2-1 would be my choice also.

I'm with you on looks and sound. One of my bros and I have the same exact bike, he runs Rhineharts I've got the Pro Pipe. I like the look and sound of his bike, but I love the way mine runs.
