i put the bike up for the winter a couple weeks ago, (southeast michigan) and it hasn't bothered me too much until getting gas this evening i saw a HD drive by (22 degrees out), and i thought, i could do that, but as i waited for the rest of my 18 gallons to fill up i thought maybe its too cold for me. besides too much salt and no where to wash it. but i already miss it....
26 degrees and close to a foot of snow on the ground right now here in NW CT. It's gonna be a while before this melts away -- maybe not until Spring. No bikes on the road here.
Yeah, I miss riding at this time of year too.............Oh wait, I was just a little too busy today. Maybe I'll ride tomorrow! 'Course it's supposed to cool off tomorrow, droppin' in to the 60's & 70's. Winter's a bitch.....................8^)
Our weather cleared enough on Wednesday to do a short 50 mile ride. Otherwise, I've been off the bike since last Saturday. I've put away the hoses and covered the faucets for the winter so all the bike get is a bucket wash. I think with trying to keep our salmon streams clean, they don't put down salt on the roads.
I hear ya, Its been about a month since I last rode, I was in a meeting at work the other day and looked out the window and seen a bike go by. Almost made me cry. Weather here (Chicago area)is suppose to be up to around40 next week so if we get alittle rain to wash off the roads a little I might get to sneak in a ride.
Leaving for Flordia Dec. 26th. Don't do Michigan winter anymore.
I've seen more then enough already. Taking motorhome and bike for three months.
Any other Michigan snowbirds heading for Florida this winter?
We will be in Campground in Titusville, FL.
